Compound words (merged / split / hyphenated)
Finds the same brand when words are written together, split by space, or with a hyphen.
Numbers written as digits or words
Matches trademarks where numbers may appear as digits, words, or mixed with letters.
Phonetic similarity
Finds trademarks that sound similar but are spelled differently.
Typos and fuzzy spelling
Handles common misspellings and small typos in brand names.
Special characters (&, apostrophes, etc.)
Normalizes special characters like '&' and apostrophes so they don't block matching.
Case insensitivity
Matching does not depend on upper/lower case of the query or trademark.
Diacritics (accent marks)
Finds brands with and without accent marks as the same word.
Cross‑script multilingual matches
Matches equivalents of the same brand name written in different alphabets (Latin vs Cyrillic).
British vs American spelling
Handles regional spelling variants like 'color/colour' or 'flavor/flavour'.
Leetspeak and number substitutions
Understands when numbers are used instead of words or letters (e.g. '2' → 'to', '4' → 'for').
Word order variations
Captures trademarks that use the same words in different orders.
Plural and possessive forms
Treats singular, plural and possessive versions of the same word as related.
Cross‑script visual confusables
Detects look‑alike characters across alphabets (e.g. Latin vs Cyrillic vs Greek).
Word rearrangements in compounds
Handles lower‑case compound brands where components can appear in different orders.
Substring and n‑gram overlaps
Catches long brands that share large overlapping parts of a word.
Advanced spacing variations

Adjacent letter transpositions

Repeating syllables and short words
Understands brands built from repeated syllables or short words.
Long lowercase compounds
Supports long single‑token brands made from multiple words.
Roman numerals vs Arabic numbers
Relates trademarks that differ only by Roman numeral vs Arabic number notation.
